South Carolina

Congressman Jeff Duncan, a South Carolina native graduated from Clemson University in 1988. After serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2002-2010, where he chaired the House Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee from 2007 to 2009, he was elected by the people of South Carolina’s third district to represent them in the United States House of Representatives.

While serving in the South Carolina statehouse, Mr. Duncan received the "Legislator of the Year" recognition from both the South Carolina Recreation and Parks Association and the South Carolina Wildlife Federation. He won the 2013 “Top Gun” award at the annual Congressional Shoot-Out, a shooting competition hosted by the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, and has been recently appointed as a Vice-Chair for the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus. “It is an honor and a privilege to serve as a Vice-Chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus for this Congress, a group I’ve been associated with long before I was ever elected to federal office. I look forward to working with my colleagues to promote the Second Amendment and the values of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation,” the Congressman said upon receiving the appointment. “I’ve always said that it’s not about the hunt, it’s about the journey. I will use this position to continue to advocate on behalf of hunters, fisherman, and outdoors enthusiasts so that we will be able to share the beauty of the journey with the next generation.”

A Member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Jeff has remained an advocate for the passions he was raised by: the enjoyment of the great outdoors. As an avid hunter and fisherman, Jeff appreciates what he considers the grace of God given to us through the landscape of America.
