Connecticut: Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus Hosts Organizational Meeting

By Joe Mullin, New England States Coordinator

On January 10, members of the Connecticut Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus convened at the State Capitol in Hartford for the first Caucus meeting of 2019.

The day kicked off with discussions regarding administrative duties and holding Caucus Co-Chair position elections. Senators Cathy Osten and Craig Miner, along with Representative Linda Orange were reelected to their respective leadership positions. The vacant Co-Chair seat was filled by Representative David Wilson, who attended the 2018 National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses Sportsman-Legislator Summit.

“The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) would like to extend a congratulations to all of these elected officials. We look forward to working with the Caucus leaders as they spearhead pro-sportsmen’s legislation in the Constitution State,” said Joe Mullin, CSF New England States Coordinator.

Following the leadership elections, the Caucus discussed the upcoming bill proposal deadline and future meetings and events.
