Iowa: Governor Kim Reynolds Joins Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus

On September 22, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds became the 36th member of the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus (GSC). The GSC is a bipartisan caucus of Governors united to protect and advance the interests of America’s sportsmen and women, as well as professional fish and wildlife management.

Guided by Co-Chair Governor Steve Bullock (MT), Co-Chair Governor Phil Bryant (MS), Vice-Chair Governor Matt Mead (WY) and Vice-Chair Governor Tom Wolf (PA), the GSC has facilitated communication and information exchange between state executive offices in support of policies that promote and advance hunting, angling, recreational shooting and trapping since the GSC’s inception in 2009.

Governor Reynolds’s leadership on hunting and angling issues on behalf of the citizens of Iowa is a continuation of the legacy left by former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad. Former Governor Branstad, now serving as United States Ambassador to China, was a member and Co-Chair of the GSC during his time in office. Governor Reynolds served with Governor Branstad as Lt. Governor.
