The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF), the nation’s most effective hunting and fishing advocacy organization, is seeking an entry-level position as a Social Media and Marketing Assistant to join the Washington, DC, team. This position will report to the Senior Director, Marketing and Communications and work closely with the policy departments to conceptualize, execute, and deliver engaging content across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of digital skills that they will use to enhance CSF’s web, social media platforms, and electronic communications strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the creation and distribution of social media content on a range of CSF federal and state policy priorities.
- Create and design various materials for digital and print.
- Aids in the collection and management of relevant social media metrics and assists in identifying measures of campaign effectiveness.
- Assists with the management of updates for the main website and supported microsites.
- Analyze and reports on overall website data and trends.
- Research, identify, and examine digital trends and provide recommendations for new opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, or similar is preferred;
- Prior experience in content marketing, content growth, or SEO;
- Passionate about digital content, data, and the outdoor industry;
- Familiarization with website analytics and optimization tools;
- Graphic design experience preferred;
- Experience with social media analytics;
- A keen eye for detail;
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills;
- Experience with photography and video editing platforms;
- Knowledge, interest, and support of hunting, fishing, and professional wildlife management issues.
LOCATION: Washington, DC is preferred but will consider other locations.
