Richard Childress, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation Honorary Board Member, has notably earned his spot in the 2017 class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Leading as President and CEO of Richard Childress Racing, he and his team have more than 200 wins and 15 championships.
Six of those championships were won with the help of Childress’s well-known driver, Dale Earnhardt. Childress currently works with drivers Austin Dillon, Ryan Newman, and Paul Menard. He may be known to most for his NASCAR career, but his efforts with CSF are also exemplary.
In addition to his successful career with NASCAR, Childress is an avid sportsman and strives to give back to wildlife conservation as a CSF and National Rifle Association Board of Directors Member.
CSF would like to congratulate Childress on his Hall of Fame induction, which will take place officially on January 20, 2017.
Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
