CSF is encouraging partners with an interest in the Summit to help develop the conference agenda by submitting proposals for session topics. The theme of this year’s Summit is, “Shifting Demographics: Challenges and Opportunities for Advancing our Time-Honored Traditions.” Proposals for sessions during the two full days of educational programming, as well as ideas for prospective keynote speakers and presentations during meals, are welcome.
Session topics should address timely policy and programmatic items related to hunting, angling, recreational shooting, trapping, or other conservation issues and opportunities. CSF gives priority to recommendations or proposals that are consistent with the Summit theme and are relevant to state legislative sportsmen’s caucus members.
Session topic proposals will be reviewed by CSF staff and considered during the agenda development process. Please note that not all proposals will be selected for inclusion in the conference agenda. CSF will contact candidates to inform them of the status of their proposal upon finalizing of the agenda.
Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades.
