On April 23, the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources Subcommittee on National Parks held a hearing on several National Park bills, including S. 486, the Preserving Public Access to Cape Hatteras Beaches Act. This bill would reinstate the Interim Management Strategy governing off-road vehicle (ORV) use in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore Recreational Area.
