Joe is the President and CEO of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (“NSSF”), the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute (“SAAMI”) and the Chairman of the Project ChildSafe® Foundation. He has spent roughly 40 years in a variety of technical, legal, and executive management roles in the manufacturing sector.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports (“CAHSS”), is a Corporate Representative to the World Forum on Shooting Activities (“WFSA”), and a Technical Advisor to the Association of Firearm and Toolmark Examiners (AFTE).
Joe also serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Red Cross and is a past Chairman of the Board of Goodwill Industries of Southern New England, where he is still serving as a member of the Goodwill Operations Committee.
He graduated cum laude from the Quinnipiac University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Connecticut, Maine and in the United States Supreme Court.
He is a 2014 recipient of the Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award, presented by the Connecticut Bar Association.
