CSF President Jeff Crane Awarded Honorary Membership to Canada’s Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus

On February 12, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) President Jeff Crane was recognized by Canada’s Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus Co-Chair Bob Zimmer as an Honorary Member of the Canadian Caucus.

Modeled after the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) – the largest caucus in the U.S. Congress – the Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus shares the CSC’s mission of protecting and advancing hunting, fishing, and conservation through policy. The Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus is also one of the largest caucuses on Parliament Hill.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus as an honorary member,” said Crane. “Working closely with Shimano’s Phil Morlock, Member of Parliament Bob Zimmer, and other Caucus leaders to form and grow this group has provided sportsmen and women of Canada with a voice in the halls of Parliament, and CSF looks forward to continuing to support their efforts.”

“Our mission in the Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus is to entrench in law fishing, hunting, trapping, and shooting sports as acceptable, traditional, environmentally sustainable outdoor heritage activities with a safety credo and conservation ethic as our highest priority. Tonight I would like to honor Jeff Crane for his leadership and council,” said M.P. Zimmer. “Canada’s Parliamentary Outdoor Caucus wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for this significant person at the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation.”

CSF Board Member Phil Morlock of Shimano was awarded the first Honorary Membership of the Caucus in 2017.

To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
