Friday, June 4, 2021 (WASHINGTON, D.C.)—This Sunday, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) will make its debut in NASCAR at Sonoma Raceway in California as the featured brand of the paint scheme on Richard Childress Racing’s (RCR) No. 3 racecar—a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE—driven by NASCAR driver Austin Dillon.
For more than thirty years, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation has been at the forefront fighting to protect and advance hunting, fishing, trapping, and recreational shooting for America’s sportsmen and women. CSF advocates on behalf of our nation’s hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts to ensure outdoor traditions can be passed along to future generations, and this weekend’s partnership with Richard Childress Racing is designed to help further amplify that mission to NASCAR’s strong fan base.
“To partner with one of the most distinguished teams in NASCAR is a true honor,” said CSF President and CEO Jeff Crane. “Both Richard Childress and Austin Dillon are dedicated to our nation’s outdoor heritage and we look forward to watching Austin cross the finish line in the No. 3 Chevrolet on Sunday.”
“The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation provides an important voice in the halls of government for sportsmen and women and I know that we can further amplify their mission with their partnership on the No. 3 Chevrolet this weekend at Sonoma Raceway,” said Richard Childress, Chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing and Vice-Chairman of the CSF Board. The work of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation is imperative to future generations.”
2021 marks Austin Dillon’s eighth year driving the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for Richard Childress Racing. A former champion in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (2013) and NASCAR Truck Series (2011), Dillon is a 19-time winner in NASCAR’s top-three touring series and won the Daytona 500 in 2018.
“I love the outdoors, and one thing my grandfather taught me growing up is the importance of conservation and protecting our natural resources so that future generations can enjoy the outdoors as much as I do,” said Austin Dillon, driver of the No. 3 car. “The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation works hard to advance this mission, so it means a lot to be able to race with them at Sonoma Raceway this weekend.”
CSF appreciates the partnership and opportunity to work with RCR to further our mission.
Viewers may watch the race live on FOX Sports 1 on Sunday, June 6 at 4 P.M. ET / 1 P.M. PT.

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
