Former Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) Chairman, The Honorable Leonard Boswell passed away on August 17 at the age of 84. Boswell focused his political career on agriculture policy, and served 16 years as a Democratic representative for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District in the House of Representatives.
A committed leader of the CSC, Boswell was a strong supporter and leader of the sportsmen’s community. He was instrumental in writing a strong and bipartisan Farm Bill. He was chairman of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry and also served on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Additionally, Boswell prioritized veterans affairs issues after serving two decades in the Army.
