Last week, a number of Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) Members in the Senate announced, with the support of the President, they would introduce a robust bill to address our nation’s public infrastructure maintenance backlog and to provide funding for access and conservation by combining the Restore Our Parks Act (S. 500) and the Land and Water Conservation Fund Permanent Funding Act (S. 1081).
This legislation will be one of the most significant public land investments in generations and builds off of S. 47, the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act, which permanently reauthorized the Land and Water Conservation Fund and included a longstanding Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) priority known as Making Public Lands Public.
Be sure to follow CSF’s social media and news updates for more information about the legislation in the coming days!
