April 13, 2012 – A coalition of 38 sportsmen’s organizations has expressed their support for The Sportsmen’s Heritage Act of 2012 (H.R. 4089). In a letter addressed to Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, in cooperation with our partners in the conservation community, urged House leadership to help enact H.R. 4089 in order to promote and advance our nation’s hunting and fishing heritage. Due to the efforts of the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus leadership and many of its members, H.R. 4089 has advanced to this critical juncture. The Sportsmen’s Heritage Act is essential to recognizing the importance of, and facilitating the expansion and enhancement of, hunting and recreational fishing and shooting. Click here to read the letter and see which groups support this unprecedented collection of sportsmen’s bills.
