Contact: Joe Mullin, New England States Senior Coordinator

On August 14,Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus  (GSC) Member Governor Chris Sununu swore in Scott Mason as the next Executive Director for the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. As the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) reported earlier this month, Mason was confirmed by the New Hampshire Executive Council by a vote of 3-1. Prior to this vote, several Co-Chairs of the New Hampshire Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus submitted a letter of support for Mason to serve in this role.

CSF congratulates Director Mason on this significant moment and looks forward to working alongside him in protecting and advancing hunting, fishing, recreational shooting, and trapping within the Granite State.

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
