April 2, 2013 (Washington, DC) – The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) is proud to announce the recent partnership with Sports South, L.L.C., an established and celebrated leader in the sportsmen’s industry. With a contribution of $100,000, Sports South, the country’s oldest and largest single-source distributor of firearms and ammunition, has been recognized as a Diamond Level Sponsor of CSF. Their donation to CSF is an example of the company’s lasting dedication to the sportsmen’s heritage in America.
Based in Shreveport, Louisiana, Sports South’s business began in 1841. Today, fourth and fifth generation Dickson members work on a day-to-day basis to advance a tradition that spans more than a century. In addition to the operation of Sports South, the family is also responsible for the operation of Morris & Dickson Company, a wholesale pharmaceutical distributor.
