On April 4, approximately 60 Washington legislators gathered at the Evergreen Sportsmen’s Club outside Olympia to participate in the Washington Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus Shootout at Littlerock. Prior to hitting the trap course, legislators including Caucus Chair Senator Pam Roach took time to meet with Washington hunters, anglers, trappers and shooters and discuss issues of importance to the sportsmen’s community and identify opportunities to address their needs. In addition to an open forum with Caucus members, those in attendance heard about the economic importance of Washington sportsmen and women from CSF Western States Manager Andy Treharne and received legislative updates from organizations in attendance representing the interests of the hunters, anglers and recreational shooters. Phil Anderson, Executive Director of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, also took time to interact with those in attendance and answer questions.
