With over 250 public lakes and reservoirs, anglers of all kinds will find what they are looking for in the Sunflower State and those same lakes can be a waterfowlers dream. Iconic species of the state include the aforementioned ducks and geese, world-renowned white-tail deer, and beautiful pheasant and prairie chicken. The state is home to a rich history, from the bounty of the buffalo to frontier towns and historic landmarks. Additionally, Kansas hosts the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, the largest piece of tallgrass prairie on earth.
