Advancing Sportsmen’s Policy Nationwide
In America’s outdoors, strength comes from resilience — and the same is true for conservation policy. At the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF), we don’t simply respond to challenges facing sportsmen and women; we anticipate them, shape them, and lead the way forward. Each year, our team advances strategic, science-informed policy solutions that protect public access, safeguard wildlife habitat, and defend the rights of hunters and anglers nationwide. Through proactive, bipartisan leadership, we ensure America’s sporting traditions not only endure — but thrive for generations to come.

Federal Policy Advocacy
We engage directly with Congress, Presidential Administrations, and governmental agencies to shape national policy affecting public lands, wildlife management, conservation funding, firearm issues, and outdoor access. When federal legislation impacts sportsmen and women, CSF leads the conversation.

State Policy Advocacy
Through our bipartisan network of state sportsmen’s caucuses, we advance and defend legislation in all 50 states. From access and opportunity to conservation funding, our state-level engagement drives measurable results where policy most directly impacts sportsmen and women.

Fisheries
Healthy fisheries depend on sound science and smart policy. CSF works at both the federal and state levels to promote responsible fisheries management, protect angler access to public waters, and ensure regulations balance conservation with opportunity. From marine fisheries to inland waters, we advocate for policies that sustain fish populations, strengthen habitat protections, and support the economic and cultural impact of recreational fishing nationwide.

Forestry
Active forest management is essential to wildlife habitat, public safety, and sportsmen’s access. CSF supports policies that promote science-based forest management practices, reduce catastrophic wildfire risk, improve forest health, and enhance habitat for game and non-game species alike. By engaging in federal and state forestry debates, we help ensure forests remain productive, accessible, and resilient for future generations.

Rigs-to-Reefs
CSF champions the Rigs-to-Reefs initiative as a proven, science-backed conservation solution that converts decommissioned offshore energy platforms into productive artificial reef habitat. These structures support thriving marine ecosystems and valuable recreational fishing opportunities. Through federal leadership and strategic advocacy, CSF works to protect existing habitat, streamline the reefing process, and ensure these structures remain long-term conservation assets for anglers and coastal communities.

American System of Conservation Funding
We defend and strengthen the user-pay, public-benefit model that funds wildlife conservation in the United States — ensuring excise taxes and license revenues continue to support habitat, access, and state fish and wildlife agencies.
