On January 20, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) honorary Board of Directors member Richard Childress was officially inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
“For more than 10 years, I have had the distinct pleasure of being able to work with Richard in our efforts to support our hunting and fishing community,” said CSF President Jeff Crane. “As an avid sportsman who strives to give back to wildlife conservation, his passion and dedication to racing and the outdoors can be recognized across the nation and it gives me great pleasure to congratulate Richard on this tremendous lifetime achievement.”
As Chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing, one of the largest motorsport organizations in NASCAR, Richard and his team have accumulated 17 championships and more than 200 wins across NASCAR’s top three series.
Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
