The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) is pleased to announce Kara Hartman as the newest addition to the CSF States Program Team this week. Kara joins CSF as the Mid-Atlantic States Coordinator, assisting CSF’s Northeastern States Director in Delaware, Maryland, New 
Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining the CSF staff, Kara worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a wildlife biologist aide conducting research on white-tailed deer mortality rates, and spent considerable time volunteering for hunting organizations in her home state. Kara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science and a professional writing minor from Bloomsburg University.
On joining CSF, Hartman said, “Growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania, hunting and fishing have been a significant part of my life, and over the years have turned into a passion. I am ecstatic to be a part of the CSF team and I look forward to working within the Mid-Atlantic region to advance the interests of my fellow sportsmen and women.”
Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
