Former Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) Member, North Carolina Congressman Howard Coble, 84, passed away on November 3 after being hospitalized in September for health complications relating to skin cancer. Howard was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 18, 1931. He was the longest serving Republican Member of the House in North Carolina history, serving the state’s 6th Congressional District from 1985 to 2015.
Coble was an active Member of the CSC who participated in nearly all Caucus-related events for over a decade. He worked closely with fellow CSC Members to promote pro-sportsmen’s conservation policies, and provided a voice in Congress for hunters and anglers across America.
