Kentucky: Governor’s Sportsmen’s Caucus Hosts Sportsmen’s Event

On Saturday, September 7, various governors will join Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) staff and members of the sportsmen’s community in Louisville, KY for a Governor’s Sportsmen’s Caucus (GSC) reception.

Formed in 2009, the GSC is a bipartisan caucus of governors that work to protect and advance the interests of America’s sportsmen and women, and advance professional fish and wildlife policy. Guided by a bipartisan leadership team of governors and staffed through the CSF, the GSC complements and enhances the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus and the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses through facilitating communication and information exchange. Presently, the bipartisan GSC consists of 24 member governors representing diverse regions of the nation.

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
