Michael Fertitta is a Managing Director at JDH Capital, a private investment firm based in Houston, Texas. JDH Capital is the owner of Savage Firearms, Pure Archery Group, Sierra Bullets and Barnes Bullets, and Michael serves on the Board of Directors for each company.
A native of Beaumont, Texas, Michael graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998 and earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2001. Michael started his career in the energy sector. Since 2010, Michael has served in various capacities for the Hildebrand Enterprises family of companies, including Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Hilcorp Energy Company and Harvest Midstream Company, and his current role as Managing Director of JDH Capital since 2020.
Michael has been an avid outdoorsman since high school and currently enjoys many hunting and fishing adventures. As a resident of Houston, Texas and part-time resident of Jackson, Wyoming, when not in the office Michael can be found chasing redfish on fly along the Texas coast, quail and whitetail deer hunting in South Texas, or hunting, fly fishing, skiing and hiking in wonderful Wyoming and its neighboring western states.
