Fisheries Policy Intern Program

DESCRIPTION

Successful applicants for the Fisheries Policy Intern will have the opportunity to learn the importance of the public policy process on freshwater and saltwater fishing access and opportunity, as well as freshwater and marine conservation issues, and will spend time learning about federal and state legislative initiatives that impact America’s anglers and fish and wildlife conservation.

CSF provides advice, support, and information to members of Congress, state legislators, and governors through its affiliation with and support of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (a bipartisan group of nearly 300 U.S. Representatives and Senators) the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (a bipartisan network of 49 state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses with a combined membership of over 2,000 legislators) and 30 governors who are members of the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus. This gives CSF a unique niche that is unparalleled by any other sportsmen’s organization.
