On March 18, Arizona Legislators for Wildlife (ALW), a member of the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC), joined the Arizona Game and Fish Department to host a “cast and blast” at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, AZ.
The event provided legislators with an opportunity to interact with the Arizona sportsmen’s community, including representatives from Arizona Trout Unlimited, the Arizona Elk Society, Arizona Flycasters, Arizona Deer Association, and others. ALW President Representative David Gowan and Vice-President Representative Lupe Contreras addressed the crowd, noting their commitment to Arizona’s sportsmen and women, as well as the state’s abundant fish and wildlife.
After enjoying some time on the sporting clays course and casting some flies at Ben Avery’s Biscuit Tank bass pond, attendees gathered for carne asada tacos at the facility’s picnic area. A special thank you goes out to the Arizona Game and Fish Department for their help organizing the event.
