Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation Adds Industry Leaders to Board of Directors

The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) welcomed four industry leaders as new members to its Board of Directors in 2018.

Orlando Alvarez (President and CEO of BP Energy Company), Gary Bechtel, Mark Cherpes (President and CEO of FN America, LLC), and James Debney (President and CEO of American Outdoor Brands Corporation) join 26 other leaders from the sportsmen’s community and allied industries, each of whom has made a commitment to CSF’s mission of protecting and advancing hunting, angling, recreational shooting, and trapping.

Leading the 2018 Board is Chairman Paul Miller (Adams Arms, LLC), Vice-Chairman Jason Hornady (Hornady Manufacturing), Secretary Patrick Murray (Coastal Conservation Association), and Treasurer Ralph Castner (Cabela’s).

“The CSF Board of Directors includes leaders from various industries and different backgrounds, who all come together with the shared passion for CSF’s mission: to advance pro-hunting and angling policies and to conserve our fish and wildlife resources for future generations,” said Miller.

CSF would also like to thank outgoing Board Members for their generous contributions over the past three years, which have been instrumental to the success of the organization: Ben Carter, Bruce Culpepper (Shell Oil Company), Christian Gullott (Bridgestone Americas, Inc.), and John Larkin (JC Larkin Company LLC).

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
