Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation Expands States Program Team

The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) has hired two staff members for the States Program Team this week.  Kyle Rorah, CSF’s new Midwestern States Coordinator, will assist the Midwestern States Director by supporting efforts in the upper Midwest states (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota).  Secondly, Zach Widner, CSF’s new Western States Coordinator, will assist the Western States Manager with supporting state caucuses in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

Prior to joining CSF, Rorah completed his Masters of Science in Environmental Policy at Bard College in New York. During the summer between his two years at Bard, he completed the Brad Rowse Policy Fellows Program at CSF. Kyle attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate, where he studied Environmental Science. He grew up in the St. Clair Flats region of Michigan, where he first was introduced to hunting and angling.

Widner also previously served as a Brad Rowse Policy Fellow at CSF. Most recently, he worked as an Assistant Account Manager with Pac/West Communications, a government affairs and public relations firm in Wilsonville, Oregon. There, he worked on issues and campaigns related to hunting, trapping, firearms and natural resources. Zach graduated from Boise State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and an emphasis in American National Government. A native of Weiser, Idaho, Widner is a lifelong hunter and angler.

To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
