It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of NASCAR legendary driver, Kyle Busch. NASCAR and Richard Childress Racing (RCR) announced Busch’s sudden and tragic passing on May 21 after being hospitalized with a severe illness.

Busch was one of the most accomplished and recognizable drivers in NASCAR history, earning more than 60 NASCAR Cup Series victories and two Cup Series championships during his remarkable career. He also holds the distinction of being the winningest driver in the sport’s history across NASCAR’s top three series (the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series) – a testament to both his talent and lasting impact on the sport.

Beyond his accomplishments on the track, Busch was a passionate supporter of the outdoors and a valued friend within the conservation community. CSF was honored to welcome Kyle to our Wine, Wheels, and Wildlife event, where his presence reflected the strong connection between NASCAR, outdoor traditions, and conservation advocacy. His relationship with Richard Childress Racing – one of CSF’s most longstanding and dedicated supporters – made that connection even more meaningful.

“CSF mourns the loss of Kyle Busch, a force in motorsports, and even more of a force off the track. CSF expresses our condolences to the Busch Family, our friends at Richard Childress Racing, and the millions of fans who have been impacted by this loss,” said CSF President and CEO Jeff Crane. “Kyle represented what it meant to be the fiercest of competitors on the track, but most importantly, he exemplified what it meant to be a father, husband, and a role model for fans across the nation.”

Kyle’s competitive spirit, larger-than-life personality, and love for the outdoors left a lasting impression on countless fans, friends, and partners across the country. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, the entire NASCAR community, and everyone at Richard Childress Racing during this incredibly difficult time.
