CSF, Sportsmen’s Groups Provide Feedback on Proposed Interior Department Reorganization

On July 19, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) joined 14 other of the nation’s leading sportsmen’s conservation groups in a letter to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke on the possible reorganization of the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Specifically, the letter laid out six different directives that the sportsmen’s conservation community recommends for consideration by the Secretary when he is developing the proposed reorganization. These directives include:

CSF is supportive of the Secretary’s ambition to reorganize to achieve more efficiency and effectiveness within the Department of the Interior.

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
