CSF’s Kevin Perry Accepting Chairman’s Award on Crane’s Behalf
(October 13, 2026) – Phoenix, AZ — The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) is proud to announce that President and CEO Jeff Crane has been honored with the 2026 Chairman’s Award by the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) during the association’s Annual Appreciation Dinner in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Chairman’s Award is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant and lasting impact on the shooting sports industry. Selected by the Chairman of the NASGW Board of Directors, the award recognizes leadership, longevity, commitment, and advocacy on behalf of the industry and the broader sporting community.
“Jeff Crane has spent decades advocating for sportsmen, conservation, and the outdoor community, and his leadership has had a meaningful impact far beyond any one organization. What stands out most is his ability to bring people together, build strong relationships, and make sure the voices of hunters, anglers, and the shooting sports community are represented where important decisions are being made. It was an honor to recognize Jeff with the NASGW Chairman’s Award, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.” said Bill Sumner, NASGW Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Since joining CSF in 2002, Crane has helped shape and defend America’s outdoor traditions at the highest levels of government. Under his leadership, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus has grown into the largest bipartisan, bicameral caucus on Capitol Hill. He has been instrumental in securing landmark conservation victories and remains a trusted expert to Congress on hunting, fishing, trapping, and recreational shooting policy.
In addition, Crane is the only individual to have served on every iteration of the federal Hunting Advisory Council, advising leaders at the U.S. Department of the Interior and U.S. Department of Agriculture on issues impacting sportsmen and women across the country.
“I am deeply honored to receive the NASGW Chairman’s Award and grateful to NASGW for recognizing the importance of advocacy and partnership to the future of the sporting community,” said Crane. “I have been fortunate throughout my career to work alongside dedicated sportsmen, conservationists, industry leaders, and policymakers who share a commitment to protecting our outdoor traditions. This recognition reflects the work of that entire community and the partnerships that make progress possible.”
The NASGW Chairman’s Award adds to a year of significant recognition for Crane and underscores the impact of his decades-long commitment to ensuring that hunters, anglers, recreational shooters, and the broader sporting community have a strong voice in the policies that shape America’s outdoor heritage.
