On Tuesday, June 18, the Pennsylvania Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus hosted their Annual Cigar Reception at the Susquehanna Ale House in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Approximately 130 people attended the event, including 70 members of the Pennsylvania Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Jim Cawley, and many allied-industry partners and representatives from in-state and national sportsmen’s conservation organizations.
Working with the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) in a coordinated manner, the Pennsylvania Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus – chaired by Senators Richard Alloway and Michael Brubaker and Representatives Marc Gergely of the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses Executive Council and Jeff Pyle – works to protect and advance the interests of Pennsylvania’s 1,424,000 sportsmen and women. Spending a total of 28.4 million days enjoying their pursuits, these sportsmen and women spent $1.5 billion in 2011, which supported roughly the same number of jobs in Pennsylvania as Pennsylvania State University, the third largest employer in the state (24,797 vs. 25,000).
