Your Inside Connection to
Outdoor Legislation
Working in a bipartisan fashion at both the federal and state levels, sportsmen’s caucuses connect lawmakers with the voices of America’s hunters, anglers, recreational shooters, and trappers. This collaboration has led to numerous victories for sportsmen and women while advancing policies that strengthen conservation and fish and wildlife habitat nationwide.
Through these partnerships, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation serves as your inside connection to outdoor legislation—building and supporting a powerful network of legislators who work alongside us to protect and advance America’s sporting heritage.
Congressional Caucus
Founded in 1989, the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) has grown into the largest and most effective caucus in the US Congress with more than 225 members representing almost all 50 states.
With bipartisan leadership in both the House and the Senate, the CSC is the sportsmen’s ally in Washington, protecting and advancing hunting, angling, recreational shooting, and trapping. CSF works with the CSC by providing advice, support and information on behalf of the sportsmen’s community to CSC members. This unique relationship gives the CSF a unique niche on Capitol Hill that is unparalleled by any other sportsmen’s organization.

Gubernatorial Caucus
Established in 2009, the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus (GSC) is a bipartisan caucus that works to protect and advance the interests of sportsmen and women while shaping policy to enhance professional fish and wildlife management. The GSC is in place to improve communication between its participating offices which serves to support and strengthen the policies and regulations needed to protect and advance hunting, angling, recreational shooting, and trapping.
The GSC, which consists of bipartisan governors, serves as a complement to the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus and National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses and collectively the three caucus programs serve as an unprecedented network that protects the interests of sportsmen and women from coast to coast.

State Legislative Caucus
Established in 2004, the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) currently boasts nearly 2,250 state legislators who are members of individual state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses in all 50 states.
NASC is guided by the Executive Council, which is composed of state legislators elected by their peers to provide advice and counsel to the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation and NASC. The Council uses their collective experience from their home states to better inform CSF of legislative trends and the emergent needs of the NASC caucuses so CSF can provide the highest level of support possible. In this, the Council assists CSF with the establishment and promotion of pro-sportsmen ideas, and helps facilitate the sharing of information between state caucuses, conservation partners, and allied industries.
The Executive Council plays a critical role in the protection and advancement of our time-honored sporting traditions by establishing the activities of NASC, developing issue briefs, and setting guidelines for affiliated state caucuses.
