Conner Barker


Conner joined the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation in June 2023 as the Southeastern States Coordinator. As part of the States Program Team, Conner works closely with the legislative sportsmen’s caucuses under the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses and members of the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucuses in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Conner is a proud, life-long Kentuckian. Born and raised in Morehead, Kentucky, Conner attended college at Morehead State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. While in college, Conner worked as a Park Ranger for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Cave Run Lake. Upon graduation, Conner worked as a Laboratory Scientist at the University of Kentucky while simultaneously working towards his master’s degree, also in biology. Conner has been involved with a variety of organizations while at Morehead State and the University of Kentucky, which included Ducks Unlimited, and was awarded the most outstanding biology student award at Morehead State in 2022 and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Conner has enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting for as long as he can remember. Conner particularly enjoys spring turkey hunting, crappie fishing, and bow hunting for deer.
