Why It Matters: Just before the holidays, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) and over 325 legislators, partners, agency staff, and other policy professionals gathered together in Memphis, Tennessee for the 2025 National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit. For the third Summit in a row, The Sportsmen’s Voice Podcast was in attendance to talk with legislators, national and in-state partners, and CSF policy staff to bring the NASC 2025 Podcast Sessions to the airwaves. These Sessions are comprised of two full days of in-depth coverage, packed full of conversations looking back at the 2025 legislative sessions as well as looking ahead towards 2026.
Highlights
- The Sportsmen’s Voice Podcast was on hand to cover the 2025 NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit.
- During the Summit, Podcast host Fred Bird filmed two days of coverage, which will be broken up into multiple sessions, with guests from CSF national partners like the Wild Sheep Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Fur Takers of America, American Sportfishing Association, the American Suppressor Association, and more.

With hours of coverage over two days, The Sportsmen’s Voice Podcast is excited to roll out the 2025 NASC Podcast Sessions in the new year. These information packed Sessions bring the audience a sampling of what Summit attendees experience at the NASC Summit.

- Wild Sheep Foundation’s and CSF Board Member, Corey Mason on Fair Chase and the use of drones.

- Delta Waterfowl’s John Devney, Cyrus Baird and CSF’s Senior Vice President Taylor Schmitz discuss Public Lands and the National Wildlife Refuge System.
Origins Foundation’s Robbie Kruger joins us to discuss African Big 5 issues. On Day 2, CSF welcomed:
- Connor Bevan with American Sportfishing Association and CSF’s Senior Director of Fisheries Policy Chris Horton to discuss Live Bait Bans and give updates to Red Stapper in the Atlantic Southeast as well as Rigs to Reefs.
- CSF’s Kent Keene and Bob Matthews speak on the future of hunting heritage and examples of work in their respective regions.
- Pennsylvania Representative Mandy Steele, Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Koty McGowan, CSF’s Kaleigh Leager discuss the monumental win in Pennsylvania rolling back nearly all Sunday hunting prohibitions.
