Home to roughly 2.2 million acres of forestland, the Keystone State provides an extravagant level of natural beauty, numerous natural mineral resources, and wonderful sporting opportunities. One of the original 13 colonies and home to the Constitutional Convention, Pennsylvania’s history spans from the birth of America to the Battle of Gettysburg and through the modern era. Consisting of 124 state and local parks, Pennsylvania provides a multitude of recreation and sportsmen and women’s activities that can be enjoyed year-round. Iconic species commonly targeted by Pennsylvania’s sportsmen include, but are not limited to, whitetail deer, wild turkey, a vibrant goose and pheasant population, a substantial elk presence, and massive black bears.
