The Florida Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus hosted their annual dinner this past Monday, March 17, outside of Tallahassee, FL. The Co-Chairs of the Caucus, Rep. Doug Holder and Sen. Thad Altman, were joined by 15 of their colleagues as well numerous representatives from the sportsmen’s community.
Executive Director of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission Nick Wiley, and Commissioner Chuck Roberts, were also in attendance. Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Doug Holder took the time to thank the attendees for their commitment to protecting and continuing the strong sportsmen’s heritage in Florida. CSF’s Southeastern States Manager Bee Frederick briefly addressed the group and noted that the Florida Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus has been a strong advocate for sportsmen and women in Florida since its inception in 2003. The Caucus formally joined the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) the following year as one of the first official members. 2014 represents the 10th Anniversary of the NASC, as well as the 5th Anniversary of the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus and 25th Anniversary of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation.
