On October 27, the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) formally presented the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) with a donation of $25,000 at their 42nd Expo and Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. NASGW’s support for CSF highlights an exciting new partnership and its commitment to protecting and advancing the hunting, angling, recreational shooting, and trapping traditions in the halls of government.
CSF Corporate Relations Director Phil Hoon attended the Expo and accepted the donation on behalf of CSF. “The NASGW Expo is a great event, bringing together industry members from across the country,” said Hoon. “The generous support of the NASGW will help to enhance CSF’s mission of working with Congress, governors, and state legislatures to protect and advance hunting, angling, recreational shooting and trapping across the country. We appreciate this ongoing partnership.”
Wholesaler members attended the Expo in order to learn innovative strategies for distribution policy, marketing, sales and promotion, logistics and operations.
In addition to CSF, donations were awarded to the National Rifle Association, National Shooting Sports Foundation, and the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance.
Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
