On April 13, the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation (NHWF) hosted an evening of awards during its annual banquet in Concord. The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) partook in the in the event and had the opportunity to witness the NHWF’s recognition of New Hampshire Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus Co-Chair Representative Jeff Goley.
Rep. Goley was presented with NHWF’s Legislator of the Year award for his dedication to the sportsmen and women of New Hampshire and his tireless commitment to promoting pro-sportsmen’s policies.
During 2018, Rep. Goley held a pivotal role in the Host Committee for the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) Sportsman-Legislator Summit, which was held in Bretton Woods during late November. Along with being a New Hampshire Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus Co-Chair, Rep. Goley serves as Secretary for the NASC Executive Council.
Rep. Goley’s passion for hunting, fishing, recreational shooting and trapping strike to the core of what the NASC represents. Rep. Goley’s is instrumental to the success of the New Hampshire Caucus and NASC Executive Council, and CSF would like to congratulate him on this award.
Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
