Sportsmen’s Act of 2012 Introduced in Senate

Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) Co-Chair Senator Jon Tester introduced the Sportsmen’s Act of 2012 (S. 3525) in the Senate on September 10, 2012. This bill is largely similar to an amendment proposed to the Senate version of the 2012 Farm Bill, which was cosponsored by the two bipartisan Co-Chairs of the CSC and supported by over 40 sportsmen’s organizations.

A letter in support of S. 3525 is currently in circulation and has accumulated 21 signatures so far. Organizations will continue to sign on to the letter until close of business Monday, September 17.

In the waning days of the 112th Congress there is a possibility that the Senate will vote on S.3525.  Click here to contact your Senators and ask them to support this legislation should it come up for a vote.
