Newly elected Governor Mark Gordon of Wyoming joined the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus (GSC), a group of bipartisan governors dedicated to supporting the outdoor traditions of sportsmen and women in their respective states.
“Hunting, shooting, fishing, and anything outdoors mean a lot to Jennie and me personally, and those pursuits are core to Wyoming’s culture and economy,” Gov. Gordon said. “I am proud to join the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus and to represent the broad coalition of Americans and Wyomingites who contribute so much to conservation.”
Gov. Gordon attended the recent GSC Winter Reception in Washington, DC, hosted by the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, where he expressed his dedication to Wyoming’s sportsmen and women.
Gov. Gordon joins Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus Members, Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso, as well as state legislators within the Wyoming Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus in representing 390,000 hunters and anglers in Wyoming who contribute more than $49 million to conservation efforts in the state each year.

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
