Florida: Sportsmen’s Caucus Announces 2019 Leadership

The Florida Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus recently announced new leadership in preparation for the upcoming legislative session in Tallahassee. The 2019 Legislative Session commences March 5 and is scheduled to end May 3.

Leaders for the bipartisan and bicameral Caucus include: Senator Keith Perry, Representative Jayer Williamson, and Representative Bobby Payne. One of the first state caucuses to affiliate with the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses during its inception in 2004, its mission includes:

The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation looks forward to continuing to work closely with the Florida Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus to protect and advance the interests of sportsmen and women in the Sunshine State.

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
