Oklahoma Caucus Elects Strong Bipartisan Leadership Roster

Contact: Kent Keene, Senior Coordinator, Lower Midwestern States and Agriculture Policy

On Wednesday, February 24, members of the Oklahoma Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus gathered to elect Co-Chairs to serve as leaders during Oklahoma’s 58th Legislature. The bipartisan leadership consists of a mix of familiar faces and newcomers to the leadership bench. Returning Co-Chairs include National Assembly of Sportsman’s Caucuses (NASC) Executive Council Alternate Senator Mark Allen and Senator J.J. Dossett. Senators Allen and Dossett will be joined by Representatives Kevin Wallace and Forrest Bennett.

“It is an honor to be elected to serve as a Co-Chair for the Oklahoma Sportsmen’s Caucus,” said Representative Kevin Wallace. “The Caucus has made good strides in recent years, and I am looking forward to working with our members and Oklahoma’s sportsmen and women to take the next step as we work to protect and highlight the importance of our outdoor heritage.”

Following a 2020 legislative session that was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, electing Caucus Co-Chairs represents the first step in a return to normalcy for the Oklahoma Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus. The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation looks forward to working with the newly elected Co-Chairs on legislative priorities like Senate Concurrent Resolution 5 (SCR 5) and to connect the Caucus with the Sooner State’s strong sportsmen’s community in support of efforts to protect and advance the rights of Oklahomans to participate in our outdoor heritage.
