Sportsmen and women, this is your reminder: You have until Friday to submit comments in support of maintaining current drain tile setback regulations on U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service wetland easements.
These voluntary easements are a cornerstone of wetland conservation in the Prairie Pothole Region – America’s “Duck Factory.” They’re also made possible in large part by you. Sportsmen and women invest in these landscapes through the purchase of Federal Duck Stamps, helping conserve wetlands for future generations.
The National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses Executive Council and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation have both submitted comments in support of current drain tile setback regs, to protect these proven conservation programs that have never been more important. Healthy wetlands mean healthy waterfowl populations and a brighter future for the hunting traditions we all value.
If conserving wetlands, supporting voluntary conservation, and protecting our hunting heritage are important to you, now is a great time to make your voice heard.
