Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation Staff Appointed to Colorado Sportsmen’s Roundtable

Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) Western States Director Andy Treharne was recently appointed to serve as a member of the Colorado Sportsmen’s Roundtable. As a forum to increase dialogue about critically important issues that impact hunting, angling and trapping in Colorado, the Roundtable provides an opportunity to work with the Division of Parks and Wildlife (CPW) to further the Centennial State’s outdoor heritage.

“It’s truly an honor to have the opportunity to work with CPW’s dedicated leadership and staff on behalf of our state’s sportsmen and women,” said Treharne. “I look forward to working with others in the outdoor community to address the many fish, wildlife and natural resource challenges that Colorado faces in the years ahead.”

Since joining CSF in 2011, Treharne, a Colorado native, has served in a support role for the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC) affiliated sportsmen’s caucuses throughout the West, while also managing a portion of the organization’s federal land management portfolio. For more information, contact Andy Treharne at andy@sportsmenslink.org.

Studies conducted at both the state and federal level have found that the number of hunters and trappers have been on a generally declining trend over the past several decades. To increase recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and trappers, which initiative do you think would have the greatest impact?
