Louisiana

The “Sportsman’s Paradise” lives up to its moniker. Louisiana is home to an extravagant and diverse natural landscape, featuring the most coastal marshes of any state along the Gulf Coast, bayous, and an abundance of timberland that all provide abundant opportunities for hunters and anglers alike. Joining the United States in 1812, the Sportsman’s Paradise has a rich sporting tradition. Hunters enjoy the world-class waterfowl hunting opportunities that the mouth of the Mississippi River and the Mississippi River Delta provide. Anglers from around the world also flock to Louisiana each year to enjoy some of the best redfish and speckled trout fishing in the world. Numerous offshore oil rigs and artificial reefs also provide incredible fishing for giant red snapper, cobia, tuna, and so many other species.
